Corporate Status
The Phyllis Merritt Singers, Inc. is incorporated as Not For Profit corporation within
the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 617.
The Phyllis Merritt Singers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization. All
contributions to The Phyllis Merritt Singers may be deducted from your federal income tax
as a charitable contribution.
Corporate Governance
The Phyllis Merritt Singers, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of at least 7
but not more than 15 members. Membership as a performing member is a prerequsite to
serving on the board of directors.
In addition to the elected members, the Artistic Director sits on the board as an
ex officio non-voting member.
